Stanford Pre-Orientation Trips (SPOT)

…are immersive, outdoor experiences that take place the week before New Student Orientation and are designed to ease the transition of students to life at Stanford as well as foster Stanford Identity, community, and personal growth through activity, self-reflection, and mentorship.

The two SPOT trip types are Basecamping and Wilderness Backpacking.

Our purpose is to provide a foundational immersive experience that cultivates Stanford identity by fostering student engagement and personal growth.

SPOT 2017 Registration and Dates

The SPOT Lottery Application opens on June 20th at 8am PST and closes at 5pm PST June 26th.

SPOT 2017 program dates: Wednesday, September 13 to Tuesday, September 19.

Financial Aid Packages are Available.  Information TBA.
